点评：My friend and I were recently on holiday in Lucca for five days. We wanted to get out of the city into the nearby hills and explore the beauty and history of the area. We decided on a half day private tour which included a visit to an ancient fortress in the small village of Monte Carlo followed by wine tasting at a nearby farmhouse. Elena was recommended to us by a local agency. She picked us up very close to our hotel and drove us 30 minutes into the hills. The heat was intense approximately 35 degrees but the journey was pleasant with the air conditioning on full in the car. I am rather claustrophobic in a car however, Elena was very attentive making sure I felt okay throughout the journey.
We had a guided tour of the fortress which was very interesting with spectacular views of the Tuscan countryside from the top. Then we had a short walk around the local shops and bars. Following this, we went to the farmhouse for wine tasting which consisted of 7 different wines cultivated there. We also had a substantial lunch of local produce.
The entire tour was superb. Elena has a wealth of knowledge being a citizen of Lucca and she has an infectious and bubbly personality, a real pleasure to be with. The locals we met were also all very friendly and welcoming to us.
I would definitely recommend Elena as the perfect guide and the tour was ideal and catered to our needs.
