Water Meadows Leisure Centre的点评
点评：We brought our nearly 3 year old daughter here on a day on which her usual swimming pool in nearby Kirkby was closed.
The first thing to stress is that this is a very impressive swimming complex - good pools, lots of activities to help make swimming fun for young people, and it was all impressively clean, with good changing facilities.
I just found it too busy. You would think that there is a limit to how many people is enough to cram into a series of medium sized pools all at once, and it felt as though Water Meadows exceeded that by quite some way. It ended up looking like one of those dreadful spring break videos you see in America, where every fool and his dog is in the pool at once. To be clear, there were no dogs in this pool...
It didn't make it unsafe or anything, but it certainly made it less enjoyable. It is pretty much the only thing I really took away from my visit.
That being said though, we were , as I mentioned earlier, there for our young daughter, and she seemed oblivious to the fact that she was effectively swimming in Piccadilly Circus. She had a lot of fun, and it is that fact alone that secured this place a 3/5.
