Bass Lake Provincial Park的点评
点评：9 day stay at Bass Lake PP.
The park was small but nice and beach/water was beautiful. A newer modern playground at the back of the beach was very convenient.
CRAZY busy on weekends. Being so close to Orillia the day use made the beach very crowded but still enjoyable.
Unfortunately, we had some negative experiences that outweighed the positives.
The bathroom conditions were deplorable. We have been camping our entire lives and no stranger to outhouses/vault toilets. These were the worst we've ever seen. Terribly dirty with serious bug issues in them. As well as the second stall with the flush toilet to be locked all week only to be unlocked by the park (we witnessed) on Friday as we assume they were preparing for the busy weekend.
In addition to this, we had some hiccups with the wardens indicating to us our site was not kept up to standards (photos attached). They were upset we had a banana peel in the fire pit, red solo cups with my kids apple juice from breakfast (ages 5 and 2) and our black garbage bag which was freshly opened that morning.
She also motioned towards our kids bikes and toys and said it wasn't "tidy" and that everything should have a place.
We calmly apologized and tidy'd up our site the little bit we could while it didn't sit well with us as we constantly saw other sites that looked just as lived in as ours did.
It's unfortunately because the park was nice but we will NEVER be returning to Bass Lake.
