Headline: Great Hotel, but the Water Park management is failing the guests.
We recently stayed at Novotel and visited the theme/water parks on Feb 14th. While the hotel facilities, food, and room check-in (which we got early at 1 PM) were all excellent, the experience at the water park was a massive letdown due to poor management decisions.
The Issues:
• Staggered Ride Openings: They kept half the rides closed until 3 PM. When those opened, they closed the others! It felt like they were just moving the same small group of staff from one slide to another to save money on manpower.
• Insane Wait Times: Because only half the park was functional at any given time, the queues were enormous. I waited 40 minutes for a single ride (Swirl Whirl), and by 5 PM, everything except the wave pool was shut down.
• Lack of Value: Despite paying for full access, my family and I barely managed to do four slides the entire day. It feels like a "cheap" tactic by top management to save on labor costs while spoiling the experience for hundreds of paying guests.
The Verdict:
The operational staff are doing their jobs, but top management is failing. If you don't buy an Express pass, expect to spend your entire day standing in line because the park refuses to staff all the rides at once.
We spent a significant amount on this family trip and felt cheated by the limited accessibility of the attractions. I hope management fixes this manpower issue soon.
