Highlands Unbridled Trail Riding & Trekking Centre的点评
点评：I've ridden four or five times with Highlands Unbridled and returned in January for a week's working holiday on their yard in Royal Deeside, which - thanks both to the stunning snowy weather and to Dominique's leadership - turned out to be a real trip of a lifetime. As a working holiday, we got a great balance of tasks around the yard (mucking out, feeding and watering the horses and so on) with rides in the local area. It was a brilliant opportunity to spend more hands-on time on horse care and hands-on tasks, which I really appreciated as I don't often get to do this at my local yard - highly recommend for anyone in a similar situation! I mainly rode Brodie with one ride on Catkin, and as always the horses were just lovely - well cared for and pretty much bombproof.
I was lucky enough to visit during a bout of snowy, cold weather, and Dominique did an amazing job ensuring our safety on the paths (navigating icy roads and drifts sometimes up to the horses bellies!) while making sure we had plenty of opportunities to canter where it was safe to do so and to generally enjoy the winter wonderland. I was quite unsure of myself as I'd never ridden in these conditions, so I particularly appreciated her patience! Accommodation was in the cottage on Murley Steading, sharing a room with another (lovely and friendly) rider.
I can't recommend Highlands Unbridled enough - Dominique is a skillful and knowledgable guide who cares deeply about the horses, and every trip I've taken with them has improved my riding and given me the chance to see another beautiful corner of Scotland. Highly recommend!
