点评：Many decades ago I’d planted a tree here with a school and I’ve rarely visited since, other than walking around it and above it on the hills. The park itself is positioned in a beautiful part of the world, between two very steep hills in a narrow valley, so immediately the scenery is impressive. The car park was accessible and £2 which is decent, with plenty of space.
There is a really nice range of trees here though a very significant number were blown down in a storm last year. The park have tried to make these as safe as possible but it does look like it was a very significant event. Still, it’s a nice walk, some ducks to feed plenty of trees left, and the beautiful landscape will always persist.
We really enjoyed the ice cream and seating under the trees by the cafe which rounded off a really nice visit.
