点评：Kapil Teertham is an ancient Shiva temple inside a cave and then built around it. It remains as one of the main temples for those visiting Tirupati. Located conveniently at the foothills of Tirumala and very accessible through both public and private vehicles (though parking remains a challenge here). The main deity is lord Shiva, and the temple premise houses many other deities. It takes about 30 mins for darshan (there was a queue for special darshan with a 5/- fee but by and large there was nothing special about it). Carrying mobile phones is allowed but taking photos inside the temple is not. One of the main features is the pond where many people take bath and also a waterfall, but apparently it's only during the rainy season that the waterfall is meaningful.
Overall a nice experience. There were many warning signs for footwear thieves so it might be a good idea to keep your footwear somewhere outside in your vehicle or at a shop as there is no proper place to keep them.
