Well maintained public gardens

点评：This gated public garden has its main central entrance on Piazza Plebiscito, next to the Church of Saint Dominic, at the east side of Porto di Trani
The gardens a mixed model of Italian and English gardens and has a long running footpath parallel to the sea which extends 350 meters from the port entrance and ends with a spectacular view of the coast to the east. The inner paths are more tree lined and shaded and there are plenty of places to rest in the shade and enjoy the more formal gardens.
If you have time its well worth an exploration. A couple of small negatives were that it does have public toilets, but these no longer seem to be in use, and there was meant to be an access gate to the harbour on Via Statuti Marittimi at the western side. Perhaps there is one, but we were unable to find a gate that was open and had to retrace our steps back to the main entrance, that was a bit annoying.
