Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park的点评
点评：Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park is a military-friendly beach in close proximity to the Central New Jersey area that offers on-site amenities; in turn, it provides a packaged beach experience for your average beach-goer looking for an easy beach trip without extensive planning.
The first glaring difference that the beach at Seven Presidents has from most of the other beaches in the Jersey Shore suite is the shore-front parking. While there is a parking fee (this includes entry onto the beach), you are ultimately paying for the convenience and the amenities available on site which is warranted in most cases after a lengthy drive to a destination for relaxation rather than the added stress of trying to find street side parking. There appeared to be easily over 100 parking spaces on the property so it shouldn't be an issue if you arrive early or come during non-peak days.
After parking, you will generally walk through pavilion with a veranda area sheltering picnic tables in the center as you head toward the beach. Here you will find restrooms with showers, concessions stand, rinsing stations, and other shaded seating areas. The facility is well kept while the entire staff on the premises were super friendly and helpful.
Surprisingly, the concessions stand is more robust than expected, offering a range of fairly priced, decent eats from breakfast (served during early hours) and lunch, as well as other on-the-go snacks and drinks.
The beach itself is arguably what you would find for an average Jersey Shore beach, being that it is fairly well kept. You start off with fine sand as you walk onto the beach. There are debris and other seafaring articles that litter the sand as one might expect the closer you get to the water. The sand then extends about 10 meters into the waves before the sediment become larger in the size of stones and pebbles underneath the waters. During the day we went, the surf and swells were rather sizeable - great for bodyboarding and surfboarding. The lifeguard stations were well-manned and the life guards themselves appeared to be trained, alert, and proactive.
While we did not visit the playground, we were aware there was one on the property and it was one of the factors in our consideration to come to Seven Presidents.
Overall, this is a great beach, especially for an impulsive/impromptu trip!
