Great tourist atraction - but too much traffic makes it a hazard.

点评：Been several times to Gottaglie - always see new things.
Criticisms:
1. The road with most of the ceramic shops are on a hill but traffic is allowed, most of the time, to whizz down the road making it very unsafe for the elderly and children. Why doesn't the local municipality (council) pedestrianise the road? Basic human safety.
2. Too many of the shops focus on really old fashioned ceramics. There are exceptions where modernity is king. I don;t believe most tourists are eager to buy religious artefacts or those covered with dust because they have been there for nso long. Grotaglie - modernise of die !
Likes: Lots of shops in gthe same area, with huge number of differing products in various styles. Open until 8.00pm. Some shops are in caves. 50% are reasonable or good value. And in some shops you can see artesans at work creating new products - very educational.
