Beautiful, but staff were quite abrupt

点评：The setting and atmosphere an a sunny day are fantastic. There was only one or two of the little shed shops open and these were very friendly. Staff in the glass house were not great, we waited to be seated and the man appeared a bit reluctant to seat us, asking if we were eating before giving us a table. The waitress took our order - we don’t drink so ordered soft drinks and she queried whether we wanted alcohol - it felt as though that was expected. Food was fine but quite bland and greasy, expected better for the price.
Asked for a bowl of water for the dog but that never appeared.
The garden is small and they don’t allow access. There was a sign saying children are not allowed to play in the garden, which I felt was quite sad. Overall I think once the insta- vintage phase passes this place will struggle as although it looks beautiful it didn’t feel welcoming or happy.
