点评：Don't go at night!
We visited Signal Hill Observatory Platform on the last leg of our night tour in Kota Kinabalu. By that point, we were already tired, so we cheated and had our driver take us up instead of hiking. The view was decent, but not great — you could barely make out the water in the darkness. Yes, it was disappointing, but it was our own fault for not planning better.
That said, it wasn't a total waste. We still had the experience, it was free, there were hardly any people around, and since it was late, the high humidity and heat were actually tolerable for once. We didn't spend an enormous amount of time there, but since it's centrally located and the staff weren't unfriendly, why not? No admission fee means we got what we paid for — so I really can't complain.
Advice: Go during the day if you want the full experience — and definitely do the hike if you're physically able!

建议：如果想获得完整的体验，建议在白天前往；如果体力允许的话，一定要去徒步哦！
