⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic productions, but ticket prices are becoming difficult for families

点评：We’ve visited The Atkinson many times over the years, and it’s always a great place to spend a day or evening.
The pantomimes are consistently exceptional. The quality of the performances, sets and production is outstanding, and we’ve never been disappointed. It’s something we always look forward to.
The staff are always friendly, welcoming and happy to help, particularly at the box office, which is much appreciated.
There’s also a bar serving drinks and snacks before the show and during the interval. It’s well stocked, although it’s definitely not the cheapest. The real highlight during the day is The Atkinson Museum, which is a fantastic free attraction. It’s well worth exploring and makes for a great family outing.
My only criticism is the cost of show tickets. Prices have increased significantly over the years, and for a family, particularly for the pantomime, it’s becoming difficult to justify. It would be a shame if rising prices ended up pricing local families out of what has always been such a special Christmas tradition.
That said, the quality of the productions is second to none, and we’ll continue to visit whenever we can. The Atkinson is a real asset to Southport and one we’re lucky to have.
