The lighthouse was closed and the resulting views were Ok but not as expected

点评：When we visited in October to lighthouse was closed for work seemingly, fair enough it happens but some information about that would been welcome. After taking the busy funicular up to Brunate we walked up the steep path to the lighthouse as the jeep service had broken down. There is possibly also a shuttle bus but we saw no sign of it. Once at the lighthouse as well as it being closed the views up to the north otf Lake Como are obscured by trees as well. So if you want great views over Como and it's the part of the lake then it may be worth the trek and hassle with the queues. We were only in Como for a day and could have spent a lot more time in Como itself.
So in our opinion unless the lighthouse was open it is not worth the cost, time and effort to get here for what you see. Even with the lighthouse open i couldn't see us doing this again. We expected so much more it was all in all disappointing.
