Burrow Farm Gardens的点评
点评：Our first visit to Burrow was nine years ago, we stayed in the delightful cottage shown with a bay window in the foreground . This year I thought I'd booked the same cottage but on arrival I realised I'd made a mistake and booked Gardeners Rest. located at the rear of the property. Although they are both ground floor cottages there is quiet a difference between the two. Gardeners Rest is situated behind Valley View and struggles to get any natural light to the lounge or kitchen due to the canopy of trees over its garden. This little enclosed garden would be an ideal area to relax but unfortunately its next to a yard that has frequent bonfires and vehicle movement On one side is a low fence separating it from a cluster of tables and chairs used by the workforce for their morning meetings. There is also a footpath running through it for other guests to access the carpark. I always make a point of checking out fire escape routes and unfortunately the only way out if you were trapped in the bedroom is though the window which is hampered by its size and restricted by the type of latch used. I make no apologies for raising what I think to be a serious hazard, one that could be improved on by fitting a fire door to the bedroom and a larger window opening or better still French doors would be more suitable for the disabled. Wheelchairs are discouraged because of the many steps and sloping terrain of the main gardens. The gardens themselves are truly magnificent and of course as a guest you have them almost to yourself after it closes to the public at 1700. Yes, I would stay at Burrow Farm again but I'd make sure I booked the right cottage which does have a much better and safer layout including a second exit door.
