点评:If you plan to visit this museum, and it is well worth it, make sure your sat-nav or human navigator knows exactly where it is. There are no signs before you reach the entrance. The brown "museum" signs will take you to the Forncett Industrial Steam Museum just up the road.
Once you reach the museum, park with care unless you're in a tank or a 4x4, as there is a large pothole at the entrance to the carpark.
Some exhibits are outside, others undercover, many of the latter undergoing restoration.
The information boards were OK, rather than excellent, but that didn't matter as the volunteers were quickly on hand to answer any questions almost as quickly as you could think of them. The centrepiece is probably Deborah II, the reproduction Mk.IV from Channel 4's Guy Martin's WW1 tank, however some of the other specialist armour, mostly outside undergoing restoration, is also worthy of note, because of its rarity. The internal exhibits and displays were well laid out, with very good access all round. On the day of the visit, it was also possible to access the interior of the Chieftain MBT on display.
Far from easy to find, but worth the effort in doing so.
