Wonderful Ghent, we'll be back one day!!
根特市中心的点评
点评：What a brilliant city, loaded with history and fantastic architecture. We opted to base ourselves in Ghent with the proviso that we would also make trips to Bruges, Antwerp and Brussels.
Arriving via Eurostar into Brussels midi, it left a 30 minute train journey to Gent St. Peters. We then took an uber to our hotel, the Comic Art Hotel (see separate review there).
All other times we were going to or from the station we did so by Tram, 3 euros per adult, the kids were free (a massive bonus). Likewise the trains the kids travelled free on. I used the SNBC travel app, coupled up with Train+ subscriptions which gave us reduced train travel.
Ghent itself is so easy to get around, now I should add that we did have a buggy/pram with us, but we managed, although Ghent is cobbled pretty much everywhere.
I didn't find that eating out was particularly inexpensive, but no more so than I'd expect in the UK.
The number of beers available was incredible too, I can't remember the number mentioned by one of the boatmen - but it was over 1000. I managed to try 16 of them - so we'll just have to go again :-).
We visited all of the churches and cathedrals which I have to say were stunning. Likewise we did the belfry visit, and also Gravensteen - both of which were free for the kids and good value for the two of us. As it was easter at the Belfry there was a challenge to find a dragons egg - which the kids were both rewarded with a dragon pin badge.
Otomat Pizza was the pick of the bunch for me when it came to eating out, great service, good ambience, great food and awesome beer!
If you do have younger kids, then I'd recommend the Fosfar Dragon app, which keeps them amused with games and puzzles as you make your way around the city.

我们参观了所有的教堂和大教堂，不得不说，它们真是美极了。我们还去了钟楼和格雷文斯汀城堡——这两个地方对孩子们都是免费的，对我们两个人来说也很划算。因为当时正值复活节，钟楼里有个寻找龙蛋的挑战——孩子们都找到了，并获得了一枚龙形徽章作为奖励。
说到外出就餐，我最喜欢的是Otomat Pizza，服务一流，氛围很好，食物美味，啤酒也很棒！
如果您有年纪较小的孩子，我推荐 Fosfar Dragon 这款应用，它能通过游戏和谜题让他们在您游览城市时玩得开心。
