点评：Lunch time visit - just a quick sandwich and pot of tea.
My husband had a fish goujon sandwich and I had bacon and Brie, without cranberry, a firm favourite of mine when we visit.
The table was sticky, it felt like it had only ever had a quick wipe never a proper clean.
I appreciate warm Brie and bacon could be greasy, but the bread looked like it had soaked in oil. I couldn’t pick it up. I could see why, they had lathered it in butter which melted and saturated the bread. The white bread had turned yellow. Inedible. I deconstructed the sandwich ate the bacon and Brie left the now sodden bread.
Hoping to leave feedback at the time when I went up to pay, waiting for those trusty words… how was your food… but they didn’t come. Just the charge of £25 !!

It has gone downhill in our estimation. It’s not what it used to be, which is a shame.
