Beautiful fun family park
Weeki Wachee Springs State Park的点评
点评：This was our first time visiting this park. We have been wanting to explore more places on Floridas Nature Coast and this was one of them. The park has an interesting history and they pay homage to it via the mermaid show and various old photos. The park was not as large as we thought it was going to be. When purchasing the $13.00 ticket you are given a nice little map of the park.
We learned from other guests to get our name on the list for the river cruise right away. You want to select your time because the times fill up when the park is busy.
We went to the 11:00am mermaid show. People will start lining up at least 1/2 hour prior. Try and sit in the center front of the theater for great views. We thoroughly enjoyed the show. It was a version of the Little Mermaid and was well done. The actors work so hard and it shows. Very professional, entertaining and has some humor.
We are in the restaurant there. It is counter service and offer a small variety of options such as burgers and chicken strips. Food was decent and served quickly.
We then took the river cruise. A park ranger explains some history of the park and points out the various wildlife along the way. The ride is approximately 20 minutes.
We not go to the Buccaneer Bay portion of the park, however we saw many people enjoying it. Lots to do there. Pack a bag and bring your swimsuit and towel. They rent tubes for floating down the river and there is a huge water slide.
Beautiful place at a decent price. Highly recommend.
