点评：Best experience ever! Read about this online and made reservations for the 1 hr rib boat tour of the glacier bay. What an awesome experience. The check-in was super easy.they even took US dollars, which was a first for us here in Iceland. They provide heavy jackets and life vests for your use. It was a mild day, only around 55F, so they advised us to leave our own coats and fleeces in our car. Which worked well, because their coats are really warm and even out on the water we got a little warm. They took us out in groups of 10-12 people per boat (I think there was 6 boats). The walk from the check-in to the shore where the boats are is rocky and a little steep in places, also the path is narrow so watch your step. Once on the water the boats space themselves out, so you hardly notice the other boats and you have open viewing. Our captain was very informative and had a good sense of humor. He also stopped at several point and offered to take pictures of the passengers with the glacier and iceberg in the background. He even pulled a small (2x2ft) piece of ice from the lagoon and let us touch and examine it. You pull up alongside the active glacier (about 150 ft away). Lots of great shots and so interesting to witness this wild and unique environment. Can’t recommend high enough. Go!
