The best horse racing venue in the ~UK
Fakenham Racecourse的点评
点评：I can't say enough good things about this venue. Unlike other race courses it is a real nice place to be. Everyone is really friendly and I find myself talking to people I have never met, discussing the performance of a horse and who we think will win the up coming race.
Fakenham have invested in new facilities such as the bars which are all new. The toilet facilities are excellent and the choice of food and drink is great. In particular I can recommend the home made pastry stall and the coffee stand, just near the members enclosure which is hosted by two lovely ladies.
It has a unique atmosphere, where people are able to take their dogs, all of which are on leads and remarkably well behaved. There is none of the drunken, loutish behaviour experienced at other tracks, such as Newmarket, or the stuffiness like you get at Newbury. Everyone feels comfortable and has a great time.
Also you can see the whole course from the stands and you are close to the action, seeing horses jumping fences situated just a few feet away.
It's a long way from anywhere but it's worth a trip and if you are looking for a short break there are some great places to stay in the area. There are some other great attractions such as Holkham, the coast line, Sandringham to name just a few.
Trainers should support the course, more than they do, so we get more runners in each race, particularly the chases.
