点评:We visited this site a couple of years ago when we did a falconry experience, we got to meet and indeed handle some amazing and beautiful birds of prey.
This visit was for an experience to meet some Ring Tailed Lemurs.
We got to meet them up close and personal, feed them, and interact with them.
They are absolutely amazing creatures.
The staff on both visits were excellent, very knowledgeable and very friendly, they made the whole visit better by letting us know the background of the animals we met.
Would thoroughly recommend a meet and greet experience at Millets.
There is a Webbs garden centre on site, as well as a top-class farm shop, you could (and I did) spend a fortune.
There is an excellent cafe with good quality food, Webbs also has a small cafe, but I haven't tried it, so I can't really comment.
The farm park is geared towards a day out for the younger kids, a large play area, and a walk around animal enclosure. The animals weren't out on this occasion, a bit early in the season I think, this bit is free, if you visit Millets wildlife then entry fees apply but you get a hand stamp and can come and go as you please til they close.
There are numerous flying displays held through the day and are well worth the entry fee.
There is an old-fashioned carousel on site, which seems to be quite popular, as I said more for the younger kids than anything.
There is a play area and oodles of space for kids to blow off steam and run around.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times. They are not allowed into the wildlife section however.
There were some craft stalls and a clothing set up whilst we visited. I don't think these were permanent however, I suspect that there may be different craft stalls or clothing outlets at different times.
Millets opens at 10.30am and closes at 6pm,
The wildlife sanctuary closes at 4.30pm.
My wife and I arrived at 11am and spent the day just mooching, we left at about 4ish.
So we had a good long day and were never bored.
If you find yourself in Abingdon and want something to see and do, then you may enjoy a visit here.
Although there is no entry fee to the site itself, you will need something if you intend on visiting the wildlife experience or using the cafe, or buying anything from Webbs or any craft stalls.
As I said geared perhaps to the younger kids, there are also plenty of picnic areas if you want to take your own food and drink.
