点评：I’ve visited all the quintessential destinations in Italy—Naples, Rome, Tuscany, the Amalfi Coast—but nothing has compared to the raw beauty and authenticity of Molise. This region feels like a step back in time, untouched by mass tourism and rich with genuine charm.
One of the highlights of my stay was the walk to Castello Monforte. It’s a self-guided journey, thoughtfully lined with detailed signage in both Italian and English. The path is beautifully landscaped and quiet, offering a contemplative, almost meditative experience. At the top, you’re rewarded with sweeping, uninterrupted views of the countryside and a small church adorned with artwork from a distant past. It’s the kind of place that invites reflection and awe.
The entire area of Molise is like this—steeped in history, but full of life and hospitality. The people are warm and eager to share their heritage. And the food? Absolutely some of the finest I’ve had in Italy. You can walk into nearly any local restaurant and be treated to a meal that rivals the best kitchens in the more famous regions—without the crowds.
Molise is a treasure still waiting to be discovered. Visit before the world catches on. It’s authentic Italy, preserved in the best possible way.
