Great local museum and worthy of a few hours of your time.

点评：This was a genuine surprise. Its spread over 5 floors where the top two floors detail the history of Nerja with lots to see and read about. I was amazed to read all about the past industries that were associated with Nerja long before tourism. The lower ground floor is concerned with the nearby caves and has lots of information that you might not have gleamed from your cave visit (if you have already been) along with the display of lots of items that have been found in the caves over the years.
The lower ground floor is used for temporary exhibitions, which when we visited was an Italian private collection of photographs of Hollywood stars. It was excellent.
It’s easy to give local museums a miss when they must compete with the beach and a day around the pool, but this museum is very interesting and well organised so try to make time to visit it if you can.
