点评：Pathetic food & beverages with high pricing.
The 4+ rating is absolutely fake and appears to be bought one. It doesn't deserve even 1 star. There is no provision of negative rating, otherwise that would have suited it.
Please read all reviews with 1 star to understand the actual experience, and then take decision. You will never regret on your decision not to visit this so called cafe but actually a filthy, unhygienic, unhealthy and unsafe place run by filthy minds just to loot and threaten tourists' families and evade taxes.
Horrible service as the service staff is not trained and actually rude, and even misbehave like goons with the families of the tourists to the level of abusing you in public and threatening to beat you in connivance with the owner's/union's people. So it's neither pleasent nor safe to visit this place.
They charge you Rs 50 per person as a cover charge which is perhaps illegal. Moreover they issue no bill and payment receipt against this, and hence again illegal from GST & Income tax point of view. They might have earned crores since inception without paying taxes.
It appears that they have not taken various licences like GST, FSSAI, Labour, Fire NOC, use of binocular, music etc.
So, no food safety audit, payment to staff much lower than minimal fare wages, no epf accounts and no contribution of employer share into epf account of staff, susceptible to fire etc
Are the appropriate authorities listening and going to take action to safeguard government's and the tourists's interests.
The structure as seen from the pic is temporary wooden type and most probably not approved by structural/ design engineer and architect. The wiring is also loose and naked at places, and hence susceptible to short circuit and fire.
Moreover, there are chances of the structure of collapsing due to overload of tourists.
Is Mussoorie - Dehradun Development authority & Mussoorie Nagar Palika/Panchayat listening and going to take action to avoid any fatal accident.
So it may be harming the state & central government in terms of revenue and not safe from health as well as other infrastructure point of view.
The binoculars installed at the terrace is very old and not even lenses are not cleaned for years, and hence you can see the mountains better with naked eyes than this binocular.
They claim it to be the best sunset view point, and that's the reason they charge you Rs 50, but in actual the sunset point is 50 meters before this cafe marked by Landour - Mussoorie administration.
Strongly recommended to AVOID.
