点评:Viking time! If you're looking for a blast from the past in an idyllic nature setting, this is worth the trip.
Be aware, this place is hardcore. The first thing we stumbled into was a bunch of people who'd just butchered a goose and were plucking it to cook. The head was off to the side. My son asked what they would do with the head and was told they'd hang it up on the house for good luck. So they are not just kinda imitating the past; they're going for it.
There's just one cafe and two sets of bathrooms; you're not beset by food stands and shops constantly, so it feels more like you're in the past.
There's lots to do. My husband got a blister on the wood-chopping activity and some kids were making flour that they then cooked into (rather unappetizing-looking) crackers. My son liked playing with clay in the pottery and attempting to spin wool into thread.
There are several houses/huts/lodges/etc. from different eras so you can see how people lived.
They sing songs and tell stories in the Viking lodge, but it was all in Danish, so we didn't linger long.
It's a large site; if you wander away from the front, there are lovely nature trails through the woods and fields.
Friendly staff overall.
Great for kids, but I saw plenty of adult parties as well.
It's lovely to get out of Copenhagen and see some woods and nature, so I think this is an excellent option for a day trip.
