点评:Definitely worth stopping to see for an hour. I still think I prefer the canoeing and hiking in Algonquin but this can give you some context for things that happened 150 years ago before we were camping here, and it shows primitive hard work that is a key part of our Canadian heritage. For me, the most interesting item was the actual “alligator” tug boat that winched itself over portages and towed log booms across lakes. (Wreckage of a few of these still remain in a couple other remote park locations.) The 15 minute orientation movie has some good archival b/w footage and there are many other artifacts and reconstructed buildings. But make no mistake, these were transient work camps, nothing was ever expected to survive for long. The museum has a mix of indoor and outdoor exhibits, and the easy 15 minute loop trail is face to face with nature.
