A Memorable Dugong Experience
Dugong Dive Center的点评
点评：We joined the day-long dugong tour, from 7am to 4pm. The center makes it clear there is about an 80% chance to see a dugong, and we appreciated this honesty along with their respect for the wildlife. Even without a dugong sighting, the trip includes two guaranteed stops at beautiful reefs that are worth the journey.
The guides were excellent. Brando was a thoughtful leader who gave clear communication and helpful advice, and Benny brought great energy throughout the day.
The ride to the dugong location is about two hours each way on a large boat, with tea, food, and a bathroom on board. We enjoyed riding on the roof for the views and to help with motion sensitivity, and even managed a nap on the way back.
We were lucky to see a dugong. Guests (there were 10 on our trip) go in small groups of four at a time and spend about 10 to 15 minutes observing and following the animal. The water is deep and the waves can roll, so be prepared, but the guides are experienced and reassuring, pulling less experienced swimmers on floatation devices. To witness such a magical creature in its natural environment was truly special.
Overall, Dugong Dive Center delivers a respectful and unforgettable experience. Highly recommended.
