High-End Brands, Big Savings, Sizes Can be Limited

点评：For those who like outlet shopping, the DFO at Homebush is a large, clean, attractive mall which looks not unlike a regular shopping centre.
The shops are all outlets but unlike some outlet shopping areas they look and feel like normal shops. There are no jumbled racks of clothing, no clutter and everything is well displayed.
Mostly it’s clothing and mostly the discounts are pretty good. I noticed that many shops also sell a range of new season, full-price clothes alongside the discounted stock but this only made up a small section of their stock. Prices can be anywhere from relatively small to really hefty reductions of 60 and 70%.
The thing I liked most about DFO is that there are a lot of high-end stores like Max Mara, Ferragamo, Furla and Oroton. When I was there Oroton had another 20% off the already reduced prices.
We also bought some lovely men’s shorts at Rodd & Gunn which were 60% off.
I had less luck. The difficulty here is that shops don’t have a full range of sizes. They just have what they have. For example in Nude Lucy, I found only one item in a medium size and half a dozen in small size. Disappointingly, everything else seemed to be XXS or XL.
Like any outlet centre, its hit and miss. On a good day, you can strike it lucky and walk away with an armful of great bargains and on another day, you struggle to find anything much.
GETTING THERE:
The DFO is a fair way from the CBD so the easiest way to get there is by car. There’s a big carpark and I’ve been a few times and have always found parking easy (although Ive not ever been at very busy times like pre-Christmas or the January sales period). You get the first two hours free which is great and it goes up in half hour increments but its not very expensive so for 2.5 hours, we only paid $6.
