Harwich Redoubt Fort的点评
点评：The Redout, is a no doubt win!
Despite horizontal rain (no exaggeration) we visited here today, Myself, Mrs and two kids aged 6 & 3.
A bit of a local bucket list for me, having seen this place advertised all over from here to even Yarmouth, always wanted to visit this unique place of history.
Upon entering, we were met by a lovely lady Cris, who ushered us all into shelter from the rain and gave us the run down of what to expect.
We were allowed to roam free, starting at the bottom and making our way around.
The exhibits on display are fascinating! Credit also where its due, that this place is still under restoration and still functioning as a wonderful place to spend a few hours to get drunk on history. The 15 minute video about the restoration is likely to steal the breath and imagination of anyone historical/engineer/restoration minded.
Particular highlights were, when asking the staff about a certain spirit said to wander the rooms, I was surprised NOT to be met with the usual synacism and disdain, but given an encouraging insight to the amount of Paranormal teams that regularly visit and investigate and personal experiences.
Also, my 6 y/o was given a demonstration on the BOFORS and allowed to operate it up and down, whilst having the details of usage given at great length. (Fantastic Job, Highly Engaging, Very Much appreciated).
All in all, a very fond tick off my own personal bucket list and cannot reccomend this place highly enough to spend a few hours, even if on the surface, it isn't necessarily your thing.
It truly is a must see on any visit to Harwich.

特别值得一提的是，当我询问工作人员关于某个据说在房间里游荡的幽灵时，我惊讶地发现他们并没有像往常那样表现出轻蔑和不屑，反而让我了解到有很多超自然现象调查团队定期前来调查，并且他们也分享了自己的亲身经历。
此外，我的六岁孩子还体验了博福斯（BOFORS）的演示，并被允许亲自操作升降，工作人员还详细讲解了使用方法。（做得太棒了，非常吸引人，非常感谢！）
总而言之，这次体验让我非常满意，也让我从自己的愿望清单上划掉了一项。我强烈推荐大家来这里待上几个小时，即使乍一看，这里可能不是你感兴趣的领域。
这里绝对是任何到访哈里奇的人的必游之地。
