Virgin Balloon Flights - Shrewsbury的点评
点评：Myself and hubby booked our Virgin balloon flight 2 days ago and were lucky enough to get 2 spaces on today's morning flight with Gavin the pilot. We phoned last night to hear the flight was going ahead but was being moved from Telford to Shrewsbury, this added an extra 10 miles to our journey we made allowances to get up earlier at 3.30am to be there before 5.30am as instructed. We were met by the crew who checked we were all present and then headed over to the field to work as a team to inflate the balloon. We were soon climbing into the basket, a few ladies took their handbags which was a bit of a hindrance getting in and out of the basket. Also be mindful that most flights are full, taking 16 passengers so space to move around is limited. The sunrise was beautiful and moved higher as we drifted along at 2,000 feet. I recommend wearing warm clothes, it gets a little chilly up there even on a summers day. The website states you cannot use your mobile phone, but you can use your camera on your phone. Our pilot Gavin was clearly very experienced, he provided useful information both before during and after the flight, your safety is always his priority. The flight lasted 1 hour, the landing was smooth and stress free. We then helped to deflate the balloon and pack it away and finished off with a cold glass of Bucks Fizz. The minibus then drove us back to our cars, around 25 minutes. From speaking to other passengers, we were extremely lucky to get a flight on the 1st attempt, some were on their 13th attempt where cancellations had happened due to bad weather. I have seen some bad reviews where people have been unhappy that their flights were cancelled due to bad weather, remember the reason is to keep you safe!
