Great but on the third attempt

点评：Before I go anywhere I do lots of research and planning so I was disappointed to arrive to see the rock houses on Tuesday 19 Aug and discover a notice saying they were closed on Tuesday 19th. From this I understood that it was a one off so we could visit on Weds 20th. We drove back to Stourport.
We arrived on Weds only to meet a guy with his young daughter walking away who said that the rock houses were closed! Seriously? There had been nothing on the website the week before when I was planning. We returned to Stourport
I checked the website where there was a notice - unsure when it had been added.
On Thursday I checked the website and phoned the number to see if it was worth another hour round trip.
We returned for a final successful trip.
We enjoyed the visit and the guides were Unbelievably helpful, knowledgeable and we loved the history of the houses.
However, my disabled husband could not manage the steps to the tea rooms. We were informed about a back gate but the car’s fuel light had come on as we arrived at Kinver Edge so I wasn’t in the best place to do anything other than get to the nearest petrol station. The two wasted trips had not helped with the fuel situation
