Awful golf experience on the Range

点评：For an avid golfer I don’t always use the range here at Stansted as it’s expensive compared to their ranges in the vicinity. £13.50 for 100 balls is not cheap. However, they do have the TopGolf computer system here so occasionally it’s worth it if you want to see distances and dispersion charts. It’s better than a ‘normal’ range so maybe that’s where the cost is.
The issue is that when visiting today and paying £13.50 the range balls were embarrassing! A lot were totally smooth, and that’s not even an exaggeration, completely smooth and no dimples in sight!
At least 40% of the balls if not more, should have been binned long ago. I understand TopGolf is a premium product but if you can be bothered to ever renew balls and importantly, throw away the smooth/cracked and scarred balls, then it just makes it a rip off. I wouldn’t spend another penny here on the range until I’d been told they’re actively trying to resolve this issue. As a golfer I can tell you it’s a complete waste of time if you want to work on your game, you might as well be hitting snooker balls. It’s such a shame as the range could be good, but if the owners don’t care about the quality of the product then it’s not worth visiting.
