点评：Having just arrived at the Rawla Narlai hotel, I was warmly welcomed & was offered to participate in their various offer of tours - one of which was the 4x4 safari in search of local wildlife, including elusive leopards.
I was joined by another couple & the 3 of us were sped away in a rather comfortable jeep with an expert driver & the main man - the ranger “spotter” - Sanjay.
After about an hour of seeing crocodiles, camels, pheasants and a multitude of birds, it looked as if I was going to have to buy a “leopard magnet” to mark the experience, as the main character was nowhere to be seen.
But our guides are too experienced to give up easily & by changing our location, we saw our leopard high up on a hill - unmistakable & very exciting.
After he had had enough of us watching him!, he sloped off into the craggy rocks where we lost sight.
We were not finished - the guides wanted to see if they could spot the even more elusive “Sloth Bear”. After a few minutes one appeared outside his cave, again, high up on the hill - we had been very lucky.
The safari was, of course, brilliant & the guides - driver & spotter, professional, friendly & great at their job. - a wonderful & unique experience.
