very poor condition and highly priced

点评：Visited this golf club whilst staying away with work.
Paid for the round of golf at hotel reception £40 which I thought was a tad expensive for a 2pm tee off mid week.
Never mind though I thought I’d enjoy a nice round of golf. Waited outside the pro shop for a while, well wasn’t much of a pro shop. For a cold drink as it was a warm day.
No warning of how bad this course was from the pro or attendant in the pro shop once they finally arrived.
Got given a map of the course and a score card and I was on my way.
First hole was ok , enjoyable.
When I got to the second though the realisation that it was going to be a bad course hit me. Diggers everywhere making a racket, not waiting for you to tee off whilst driving behind you etc.
Cut down trees everywhere. I’ve seen tee boxes better at the local pitch and putt than this. I understand and respect clubs improving the facilities and working to improve the course. But a warning before I teed off and a price reflecting this would have been fair. But they haven’t even watered some of the greens.
You’ve also got robot lawnmowers whipping about all over the place putting you off.
I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone. £18 for a round mid week in these conditions would’ve been more than fair and no arguments.
Seeing as I didn’t see anyone else playing my entire round it can’t be that desirable at these prices.
