Great park, history rich, within the beauty of Finger Lakes.

点评：2nd time camping here on Loop 5. Great loop near lake with spacious sites. Park is a large, vast layout of outdoor amenities and history rich material. Surrounding communities also provide history and Finger Lakes charm.
The campground has 5 loops and is well laid out, although I recommend you scout sites prior as depth and pitch of some are challenging. Bath/Restroom facilities are a mix of dated and renovated and fairly well maintained. There is no ice available at the camp office, which is unfortunate for a large popular park, but is available at an adjacent private campground and marina. On hot days like our visit, bring the cooler to the store so ice doesn't melt during transit. Be sure to visit the military museum on park property and enjoy the beach, spacious grounds, and trails suitable for hiking and bicycling. The new dumping station is well designed. Note that there are strict rules in place for each season, so be mindful of these. The biggest disappointment is the entry road to the campground area off the main park road. This is poorly maintained, full of ruts, potholes, and uneven patches. Be sure everything is well secured before entering the camping area. Would recommend taking 1st right turn labeled "Deliveries" and following the newly paved road going by the new dump station, which will bring you directly into Camp Office.
