Worth a visit if in the area.
Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum的点评
点评：A friend gave me a leaflet about the Chapel and as we were caravanning very near we decided to visit it. It isn't very big but definitely worth calling in if you are in the area. We were welcomed and told some facts about the Chapel and given a leaflet with a lot of information. The first chapel which was built in 1828 ended up being too small and was extended in 1832. The museum occupies the former Sunday School room. You can learn all about Primitive Methodism and there is information about Hugh Bourne a joint founder of it. There is also an organ and an old printing press and various other items and you can climb stairs to the gallery which is interesting to have a look at. There is also a small garden to have a wander round. There was a service starting while we were there and we were invited to stay for it, although we aren't methodists so that was interesting. It is free with a donation box.
