Traditional Japanese toys showcasing traditional skills and artistic ideas
Naramachi Mechanical Toy Museum的点评
点评:This is a small toy museum housed in an old tradesman's house in Naramachi built around 1890. The kind staff demonstrated to us how to play with the mechanical toys that Japanese children used to play long ago during the Edo period 1603-1868). The concept involved in these automata toys is brilliant and artistic, showing that lives were much simpler and charming long ago. These toys were made from a combination of wood, bamboo, paper and other natural materials. This museum have restored the toys using drawings and documents from the Edo period. Entrance is free and this museum is interesting even to adults. From here, we had a lovely stroll to have an early dinner at 4 pm at Kura near to the Mochiidono Shopping street.
