点评：Arranged a pub ride for myself and the wife for our first weekend away without the kids. Build up communication was great and made them fully aware we were both novices with minimal experience. On the day we were introduced to our horses and advised on riding instructions. Once mounted we were a little concerned as thought we may of had a little time in a confined field or paddock to get some confidence and put into practice the instructions we were given. About 10 mins from our destination my wife’s horse reared up and threw her off on a t junction leaving her prone on the floor and also injuring her back (thankfully just bruising and no lasting damage). Our instructor managed the situation the best she could with the horses and an amazing lady stopped to help control the traffic, we were then able to attend to my wife and once checked over got her remounted to finish the last 10mins to the pub. Whilst there, shock set in a bit and it was obvious my wife had had enough for the day but from what appeared, certainly from the outside, absolutely no help was offered to our instructor from the stables and it was sheer luck her parents were there, who were fantastic in driving my wife back to the stables. It’s 2 weeks since our trip and her horse riding incident and we accepted all risks, but no contact has been made from the stables to ask after my wife or check on her after our experience which I find extremely poor form and the reason for the poor review.
This is not a reflection on our instructor who handled the situation as well as possible, however there has been no attempt from the stables owner/management to follow up.
