点评：I took a cruise to Alaska and this is how it went.
I arrived in Seattle, Washington; which is absolutely stunning. I got on the ship which is called the Norwegian Encore; and it too was stunning!
I had lunch in this amazing restaurant on the ship deck, which was in the Art Deco stylings of a 50's burger and shake restaurant for the classic car enthusiast. While waiting for the ship to depart, I took a tour of the entire vessel. The staff was top tier and the ship was clean from bow to stern.
*Travel Tip #1: Make sure you schedule a transport from the Airport to the Ship. All vehicles are not always allowed to enter into the port area for the ships. Sometimes they only accept the ship transport vehicles and an official cab company.
Our Cruise Itinerary was as follows:
Day 1: Travel at sea
Day 2: Juneau Alaska
Day 3: Skagway Alaska
Day 4: Glacier Bay
Day 5: Ketchikan Alaska
Day 6: Victoria British Columbia
Day 7: Seattle Washington
* Travel Tip #2: Make sure you have some sort of motion sickness medication or device when you travel to Alaska by Ship.
Alaska is a place for those who have read about heavenly landscapes and would like to see them realized. Alaska is a place of pristine nature preserves, trails and activities. Alaska is a place of diverse wildlife populations and is an incredible destination for outdoor lovers. I have never seen such beauty as glaciers crumbling into oceans and seas as sea otters and whales frolic in the background.
The one thing you need to absolutely KNOW about Alaska is that it rains over 200 Days a year.
*Travel Tip #3 There will be RAIN!!!!!! Prepare yourself.
We experienced 5 days of rain and 2 days of sun and it was glorious.
*Travel Tip #4 I will NEVER use Norwegian again! Besides all of the senior citizens with bad attitudes, the food in the premier restaurants on the ship were mediocre at best and they try to nickel and dime you for everything on the Ship. I have been on several other cruise lines and they were no where near as expensive and no where near as pickpockety as Norwegian. They baited and switched our photo reservations and food reservations and the night club was finished by midnight, lol. Take another cruise line to Alaska. Staff was top tier!, Services were in the well.
In my conclusion, Ketchikan has a multitude of shopping, eateries and everything was awesome. Beware the police and crossing in areas that are not designated to cross streets. I feel that Alaska is a bucket list vacation that everyone must experience; whether its the train rides in the mountains, or the cable cars in the forest hills, or shopping and eating in Ketchikan, everyone should go at least once. I thoroughly Alaska. Next time I will fly in and stay a week, while driving and traveling around.
