点评：Certified Diver for five years and previously dove in Cancun and Cozumel. The instructor/guide and boat driver were friendly BUT that isn't part of the top criteria needed for diving. Not once was anything related to safety talked about. He didn't confirm if we had dove previously, hand signs weren't reviewed (or used while under the water), oxygen levels weren't ever asked, thankfully my husband and I asked each other and advised him when one of us were at a point where working our way back to the boat was warranted. We were able to see ocean life we'd never seen before (ie octopus, scorpion fish, sandworms and puffed up puffer fish). However the coral was so dull and not cared, our instructor was nice to clean our masks as we forgot our cleaner on our first day but he had gone down into the water and broke off a piece of fan coral to clean the mask. 😳 Maybe the lack of caring for the ocean is a cultural thing or was a personal choice for him. The biggest reason for 3 stars is what appeared to be a lack of safety from this experienced Scuba Divers perspective. We are glad we went but as of now won't attempt to dive in the Dominican Republic in the future.
