13 day Kenya & Tanzanis safari
Shadows of Africa的点评
点评：There are many words that could describe our safari, “amazing, fantastic or marvellous etc” but these don’t even begin to describe how good this 13-day safari was. We settled on “magical”. And it was!!
Our first contact with Shadows of Africa was Karen Maki. Of the 6 tour operators we went to, she impressed us both. Always responsive via email or the occasional phone call, she was the one who we paced our trust in…and we were not disappointed. Everything went like clockwork, no hiccups, no delays and the lodges and tented camps were of a class far above what we expected.
We travelled to Lakes Naivasha & Nakuru, Maasai Mara, all corners of Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Arusha & Amboseli (taking in Mount Kilamanjaro). We took a plane to the Kenyan border, crossed over to Tanzania & took a 2nd flight to Northern Serengeti, all went without a hitch.
We had 3 drivers, James (4 days-Kenya), Dennis V (6 days-Tanzania) and Tim (2 days-Kenya). All were knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, spoke good English and safe drivers. We got to know Dennis V very well and we became safari friends. If you get any of these drivers, then you are guaranteed a good safari. As I had back issues, we asked all 3 to drive at a leisurely pace, not frantic. We got leisurely. And because of this we got to saw far more than the other tour drivers who flashed pass us on the way to another sighting.
We easily saw the Big 5 plus multiple cheetah sightings, 2 separate wildebeest migration crossings (1 uneventful, the other saw wildebeest taken by crocodiles), multiple lion prides – with one lion pride feeding on a freshly caught zebra, a leopard at the base of a tree with its prey hanging above, plus so much more
In all we saw over 120 separate species of birds, animals, reptiles and insects. Truly a magical safari!!

我们轻松看到了非洲五霸，还多次目睹了猎豹，两次角马迁徙（一次平安无事，另一次则目睹了角马被鳄鱼捕食），多个狮群——其中一个狮群正在享用刚捕获的斑马，一只豹子在树下，猎物悬挂在树上，等等等等。
我们总共看到了超过120种不同的鸟类、动物、爬行动物和昆虫。真是一次神奇的野生动物之旅！
