Just what we needed.. what a retreat!

点评：Took a well needed 4 night break here and stayed in the deluxe floating lodge. We were met promptly on arrival by a lovely lady who was all ready with our keys, fob and site map, gave us lots of information about bus services and the local area. We even checked in early which was great as the traffic wasn't as horrendous as we anticipated being the school break at Easter.
We found our lodge which was in a lovely area of the site, on entering we found the accommodation to be absolutely terrific. Clean. Modern, and so tastefully decorated i could have picked the whole place up and put it in my own home. Comfortable furnishings, lovely bright lounge area, all the mod cons. And after a cold walk around York the underfloor heating was lovely addition.
Bus stops were directly outside, and the drive into York was literally 10 minutes.
The site felt very safe and secure and simple fobs let us in and out.
We spent lovely evenings surrounded by peace watching the local nature meander by and was a perfect little getaway. Highly recommend for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life for a while.
