One to forget!
Auckland Palace的点评
点评：Second visit to Auckland Castle. On first visit we enjoyed the cafe, however today's visit to the cafe was pretty forgettable.
Fancied a brie and bacon sandwich, "Sorry we don't have any bacon". OK, could I have a jacket potato with pulled pork? "Sorry we don't have any jackets". OK make that one chicken and stuffing sandwich and a ham and peas pudding sandwich with the 'nursery salad' and two teas please.
The tea arrived fairly quickly but the sandwiches and any other meals for other tables were simply not coming out of the kitchen.
After 35 mins I questioned this with the female manager who said the meals would be arriving after they'd dealt with a party having 'afternoon teas'. She offered a fresh pot of tea which we accepted, but from the time on the till receipt to the sandwiches arriving it was 52 minutes.
The 'nursery salad' consisted of about 8 leaves of rocket and a couple of drops of dressing. In no way could it be called a 'salad'. It was a garnish at best.
It was clear that other tables were getting very frustrated with the slow service and it looked like some were requesting refunds.
There was no shortage of kitchen and waiting staff hovering around, but it was very obvious that the 'afternoon tea' group were being prioritized over the customers in the cafe.
I could understand the lack of certain ingredients (bacon, jackets and salad) being unavailable later on in the service, but not at 12.38 lunchtime.
With so many staff available surely it would have been possible to allocate half for the group and the other half solely for the cafe?
Had a look round the palace and had been looking forward to viewing the 'Faith museum' until a fire alarm went off about 5 minutes after entering it and we were ushered out to the main gate rendezvous point.
Cut our losses and called it a day at this point.

我可以理解某些食材（培根、茄子和沙拉）在服务后期缺货，但午餐时间12:38就不行了。
既然有这么多工作人员，肯定可以分配一半给团队，另一半专门负责咖啡馆吧？
参观了宫殿，一直期待着参观“信仰博物馆”，但进入宫殿大约5分钟后，火警响了，我们被带到了正门的集合地点。
我们只好止损，就此打道回府了。
