点评：First time visit to Martello beach holiday park (Jaywick) Clacton.
Yes, as reviews have stated it is a run down town, but I can honestly say I have never met such friendly and happy people in my life. Shopkeepers chat to you, even if you don't buy anything in there shop, helpful and just charming people. The McDonald's in town is one of the best I've ever had. Hot, fresh food cooked to order, none of this pre packed kept luke warm under heater, with proper shand up chips not all soggy as in London. Even the milkshake maker was working. Few shops and nice little café s sprinkle the town. They still have a pound store and even in there I was met with "hello" and friendliness (unreal). Its certainly not the people of Jaywick Clactons thought that the council has not spent on building this town up as they certainly deserve it. The beach and pier are fantastic and again such lovely people. I felt safe, as did my teenage girls. This really could be a even better place if money was put into it. I personally had a wonderful weeks holiday there, would advise anyone to go. I end by saying thank you to the lovely people that live there.
