Old Khndzoresk的点评
点评：this site 39.49972, 46.43108 is located 20 min outside of goris town. 10 min drive is on paved mountain road, wide and safe. the other 10 min drive is on dirt road which begins at the turnoff into khndzoresk. the dirt road was compacted enough for a 2wd sedan for march, but conditions may differ on other months.
although i have to say, i was the only one driving that small car versus others in their suv, lada niva, etc, and everyone is staring at me... so perhaps i was taking a risk here.
you then descend 450+ steps down to a metal suspension bridge, to cross the canyon to the other side to see the medieval cave dwellings dotting around the mountains. there is also a church onsite but not open for visit.
nobody was collecting entrance fee when i visited
if you cannot reach here, you can also visit a mini cave city at 39.50635, 46.35160, which is within goris city limits. but khndzoresk is more impressive.
