A very distressing visit for an Autistic young man.

They terrified our son by shouting at us that he was banned after supposedly causing trouble and damage 2 Years ago. When my 25-year-old severely autistic son visited 2 years ago he climbed into the cockpit of the spitfire at the back of the shop, he saw a step had been left next to the cockpit of the plane (the only part of the plane on display) and took it as an invitation to climb in, within seconds a man came and shouted at my son. My husband and I had tried to stop our son from climbing in and were now trying to get our son to come out of the plane. The man then accused my son of damaging the plane even though there was no damage done at all. we tried to explain to the man about the step
Today my son wanted to go into the shop again so we took him in as it had been over two years since the last incident and my sone had been very well behaved. As we stepped in to the shop the old man came towards us and began shouting at us that my son was banned, at this my son became so distressed that he went down on the floor and had a meltdown. (He was too scared to move). We tried our best to calm him down and get him away from the shop with old man and women continuing to shout us. We tried to explain to the old man and woman that our son was scared and asked them to stop shouting so we could calm our son down and get out. They refused to listen to us and then phoned the police and told them that my son was going to trash his shop!! The only thing my son was trashing was himself!! (he hits himself in the head when he is distressed and is unable to verbally communicate what is distressing him).
This is Disability Discrimination at its worst.
In 25 years of visiting charity shops with our son this is the only one that has treated him so badly.
