The Charles and Mary Ann Goodnight Ranch State Historical Site的点评
点评：This is an amazing historical site and it was extremely informational. Our tour guide is very accomplished-sharing all kinds of insightful historical tidbits about the Goodnight family. I was disappointed with the physical care of the facility. As we walked up the front of the house, there was bird poop everywhere and it looked like it had not been swept off in months. The beautiful statue of Mary and the buffalos calf was tainted with bird poop and was not cleaned off. Grass and weeds were growing all around it. The grounds grass needed cutting and edging. Inside the house was dirty. The corners of each room was filled with dirt-it seemed that the entire house needed to be cleaned and dusted. It’s a shame that the caretakers of this amazing facility are not doing a good job here of taking care of it. There are no excuses here-we saw at least 4 other people who were employed there and were doing nothing. Someone needs to look into this! They knew for weeks that this large group was coming to tour the house. This tells me that having the facility cleaned up and ready for tourists is NOT a priority. Very sad. The Goodnights would be so disappointed as were we.
