Awful experience with navigazione lag di Como in July 25

点评：We had the misfortune to choose to travel from Argegno to Bellagio by ferry boat of this company on 16.07.25
The booking office member of staff was plainly unhelpful to visitors and locals alike. Having confirmed that tickets should be purchased between 20 and 5 minutes before departure a previous day. We dutifully turned up found a parking space eventually in Argegno and went to the booking office for the timetabled sailing . The sailing never materialised. The booking man remained in his office with binds down throughout and offered no advice to anyone.
Eventually when the next boat was due an hour later. He appeared with a paper sign stuck to the window of the ticket office stating cash only for this public transport service ! We paid 50 euros in cash for 5 people to travel to Bellaguo on a fast ferry and were issued with a printed receipt which I have for 43 euros. This all appears strange to myself for a public transport service. I recommend not catching a ferry from Argegno.
On return we purchased tickets for the slow ferry back to our destination and were crammed like animals onto a boat with people sitting on stairs deck floors and any perching point to travel.
At no time did we hear any safety announcement. We all regret using this service and will take the payment issue and safety issues forwards with the authorities next. Perhaps not the best way to travel as a visitor over lake Como
