Slovak Tour Guide Day Tours的点评
点评：Thanks to the excellent research of Michal Razus we had an outstanding day visiting the towns and villages in eastern Slovakia in which my great grandmother lived prior to her immigration to the US. Even though our time was limited, Michal ensured that we visited each of the places important to my family history including Odorin, Markusovce and Zavadka. And in Markusovce, he was able to arrange for a village official to take us on an exciting (if not bone jarring) ride into the back country to see my great grandmother's childhood home in a lumber camp called Sonntags Grund. He also organized stops at local churches where my family were baptized and attended introducing us to pastors and/or caretakers who shared helpful background. We even met the mayor of Odorin as well as the chief engineer of the Markusovce Castle restoration who gave us a personal tour of the project. Michal also took us to a great restaurant for lunch. We could not have accomplished any of this without Michal's research, planning and language skills. If you have Slovakian ancestry, I highly recommend that you hire Michal Razus to conduct research and provide you with a tour of the places important to your family. I've experienced many tour guides on my trips to Europe and he was among the best. Finally, I do not recommend that you travel to rural Slovakia without someone like Michal who is fluent in the language and can ask the right questions.
